In this episode we will focus on the warning Jesus gave Ephesus. We will examine why Jesus needs to be our foundation guided by the Holy Spirit through the truth of God's word. Through the warning Jesus gave the church of Ephesus, we can understand how the church is to live up to its role of being a light in the darkness. It needs to be a burning lamp, never hiding the truth, or it will be removed by Jesus Himself.

The early church of Ephesus was active in Ephesus. So we must be active in a pagan world. We, the church, must be built upon the foundation Christ and sound biblical doctrine. We must be active in hope, Love, and doing good works of discipleship and ministry. We must be active in the Holy Spirit. Finally, we must be active in breaking down the strongholds of satan through corporate prayer and engagement of spiritual warfare.

Trusting in the Sufficiency of Jesus

In this episode, which is part three of our introduction, we learned five keys to how Paul planted the church in Ephesus. These keys are: a church starts with believers, is spirit filled, baptizes new believers, makes strong disciples, and has sound biblical doctrine. It is in these guiding keys that Paul writes his letter to the Ephesians.
